Leveling a Battle pet from 1-25

With the intrest in Battle pets for Rep in Nazjatar I thought I would offer this up
This is my rotation on leveling battle pets from 1 to 25 in 3 to 4 fights. On pet battle week I can do 2 to 3 fights. I can definitely do 2 each day with my strat plus a third that is a higher level than 10. These are Daily trainers.

Of course you need to get a few things to optimize. I am always willing to level a pet for someone to help them get what they need.

  • The Safari hat toy is a must. Increase Pet XP by 10%. You earn this by getting the Achievement, Taming the World, Defeat 40 master pet Tamers. This is easy to do as you level your initial pets.
  • Pet Treat – Increase pet XP by 50% for 1 hour. Purchase for 10 pet Charms from Garrison Battle Pet Master
  • Lesser Pet Treat- Increase pet XP by 25% for 1 hour. DOES NOT STACK WITH PET TREAT ABOVE. Use this only if you cannot afford the above treat.

Both treats can also drop from pet supply bags

Because I love Wowhead I learned most of my strats from there. If you have a faster better battle strat for any of these fights, please feel free to post. The level 1-25 strats from previous link were the guide I used for this to start with then added a few here or there to make it include all Pandarian pet battles , http://www.wowhead.com/guide=2092/a-pet-battlers-guide-to-defeating-the-pandaren-battle-pet-dailies#pandaren-tamers-aki-the-chosen. For example, I do not do the Mo’ruk fight the same as they do.

I. I start my rotation with Aki, I equip my Safari hat and feed a pet the pet treat. You give the treat to any summoned pet. It does not have to be one of the pets you use for your battles.

My pets are Anubisath Idol (1,1,1) and any moth (1,2,2 Alpha Strike, Cocoon Strike, Moth Dust) and level pet (lvl1+).

Aki the Chosen begins with Chirrup

Open with Anubisath Idol

Turn 1: Sandstorm

Swap to Carry Pet - do not press Pass or use any abilities

Swap back to Anubisath Idol

Turn 2: Crush

Turn 3: Crush

Turn 4: Crush

Turn 5: Sandstorm

From this point, cast Sandstorm any time it’s available; otherwise, use Crush

Continue until Chirrup is dead

Aki the Chosen brings out Stormlash

Turn 6: Deflection - blocks Lightning Storm damage

From this point, cast Sandstorm any time it’s available; otherwise, use Crush

Continue until Stormlash is dead

Alternatively, you can choose not to use Sandstorm against Stormlash; and instead leave Lightning Storm active to kill him more quickly

Aki the Chosen brings out Whiskers

Turn 7: Pass - Whiskers will use Dive and is no longer attackable

Turn 8: Deflection - blocks Dive damage

From this point, cast Sandstorm any time it’s available; use Deflection to block Dive damage; otherwise, use Crush

Continue until Whiskers is dead. If Anubisath dies you will be able to finish with you moth.

Level pet should be 11 now.

II. After Aki I go to Farmer Nishi. I use a water strider (Water Jet, Cleansing Rain, Pump), Clockwork Gnome (Metal Fist, Repair, Build Turret), and the same level pet

Farmer Nishi begins with Siren

Open with Aqua Strider

Turn 1: Pump - (Charging)

Turn 2: Cleansing Rain

Turn 3: Pump - (Damage) - if this Pump misses, use Pump for Turn 5 instead of Water Jet

Turn 4: Pump - (Charging)

Turn 5: Water Jet

Turn 6: Water Jet - if Turn 3 Pump missed, use Pump for Turn 6, followed by Water Jet

Siren should be dead at this point, if not, use Water Jet again

Farmer Nishi brings out Toothbreaker

Turn 7: Pump - (Damage)

Turn 8: Cleansing Rain

Turn 9: Pump - (Charging)

Turn 10: Water Jet

Turn 11: Water Jet

If Turn 7 Pump misses Toothbreaker, use Pump on Turn 10, followed by 2 Water Jets

Toothbreaker should be dead at this point

If Aqua Strider dies before killing Toothbreaker, bring in Clockwork Gnome. Carry Pet will still be swapped in after Turn 12; do not Pass or use any abilities

Farmer Nishi brings out Brood of Mothallus

Turn 12: Pump (Damage) - if Pump is not already charged up, use Water Jet

Did Aqua Strider just die?

Yes. Bring in Carry Pet and use 1 simple attack that does not carry over multiple rounds (Flock, Burrow, etc.)

No. Swap to Carry pet; do not press Pass or use any abilities

Swap to Clockwork Gnome

Turn 13: Build Turret

Turn 14: Metal Fist

Turn 15: Metal Fist

Turn 16: Build Turret

Continue until Brood of Mothallus is dead

III. From here I fly to Mo’ruk

I use Darkmoon Zepplin ( Missle, Bombing Run , Decoy), Nether Faerie Dragon ( Arcane Blast, Life Exchange, Moonfire)

Start with Darkmoon Zeppelin.

Turn1st: Bombing Run

Turn 2: Decoy

Turn 3-6: Missile, until Woodcarver is dead.

Turn 7: Swap in your leveling pet.

Turn 8: Swap the leveler out for Nether Faerie Dragon.

Turn 9: Moonfire

Turn 10 -12: Arcane blast Until lightstalker dies

Turn 13: Needleback comes in use life exchange

If your Nether Faerie Dragon survives Needleback’s first attack, Moonfire and then Arcane Blast until either your pet or Needleback dies.

If/when your Nether Faerie Dragon dies, swap your Darkmoon Zeppelin back in. Bombing Run on first turn, and then try to Decoy when Headbutt is up for Needleback. Missile until the battle is over.

IV. At this point you battle pet should have reached lvl 22. Head over to the Pandren Flowing Spirit.

The group I use for this fight are Dread Hatchling (Peck, Call Darkness, Nocturnal strike), Anubisath Idol (Crush, Sandstorm, Deflection)

Marley is an Aquatic.

Turn1: Call Darkness

Turn 2: pass, he dives

Turn 3: Nocturnal Strike

Turn 4-6: Peck until you or he dies, if Call of Darkness comes up use it then nocturnal strike.

When Hatchling switch to Anubisath.

Turn 7-10: Sandstorm, it will negate the damage incomming from the waves for your team, and damage Tiptoe. From here, just re up sandstorm and Crush spam until hes dead.

Turn 11: The Water spirit is next, Her first move is whirlpool, this is where you pet switch. Flip to your level pet.

Turn 12: Sandstorm

Turn 13: swap to Anubisath.

Turn 13: Deflection.

From here on out its crush spam and sandstorm on CD.

And that is the first Battle pet for the Day at lvl 25!

I lhave live streamed this and have a few videos I can add here if asked

Second Battle pet from 1 to 25

Don’t forget to check and make sure your not out of time on your pet treat.

From Flowing Pandarian Spirit I head to Seeker Zusshi if I am leveling a lvl1 pet. Wastewalker shu requires a level 15 or higher pet.

Turn 13: Dodge

Turn 14: Flurry

Turn 15: Burrow

Turn 16: Flurry

Turn 17: Flurry

Repeat Turns 13 through 17

Continue until Skimmer is dead

If Hare dies, swap to Anubisath Idol; use Deflection to block Pump damage; otherwise, use Sandstorm and Crush

Again level pet should be 11-13 lvl now. Head over to Courageous Yon. This is by far the easiest of the pet battle fights. Even though all you use for this fight is Anub do not bring another level pet as it will split the dps.

Anubisath Idol (crush, sandstorm, deflection), Back up with any lvl 25 pet you like, level pet.

Courageous Yon begins with Piqua

Open with Anubisath idol

Turn 1: Sandstorm

Turn 2: Pass - Piqua uses Lift-Off and is not attackable

Turn 15: Sandstorm, if available; otherwise, use Crush

Turn 16: Sandstorm, if available; otherwise, use Crush

Repeat Turns 11 through 16

Continue until Lapin is dead

Courageous Yon brings out Bleat

From this point, cast Sandstorm any time it’s available; otherwise, use Crush. Deflection can be used to block Chew damage

Continue until Bleat is dead.

Should be between lvl 17 and 19 now. Head over to Wastewater Shu. One of the harder daily battles. RNG can really be a pain on this fight.

Wastewalker Shu begins with Crusher

I used Dread Hatchling (Peck, Call of Darkness, Nocturnal strike), Emperor Crab (Snap, Renewing mists, shield

Glowey comes out make sure renewing mist is up swap to Anub

Turns 13 to end: keep sandstorm up and crush until dead

You pet should be level 25 that’s number 2 for the day.

Third pet leveled to 25

Head over to Hyuna of the Shrines.

Anubisath Idol (crush, sandstorm, deflection), Clockwork Gnome (Metal Fist, Repair, Build Turret), lvl pet.

Hyuna of the Shrines begins with Skyshaper

Open with Anubisath Idol

Turn 1: Sandstorm

Turn 2: Crush

Continue to use Crush until Skyshaper is dead (generally takes about 3-4 Crush hits)

Try to avoid additional uses of Sandstorm; during Clockwork Gnome’s rounds, Sandstorm will negate Turret damage

Hyuna of the Shrines brings out Fangor

Swap to Clockwork Gnome

Turn 3: Build Turret

Turn 4: Metal Fist

Turn 5: Metal Fist

Turn 6: Build Turret

Continue until Fangor is dead

Hyuna of the Shrines brings out Dor the Wall

Dor the Wall only has only 1 damage ability (Headbutt), and it’s on a 4 round cooldown.

If done correctly, Anubisath Idol will take no damage from Dor. Of course mine died but I still defeated it with the gnome.

Now if you had a lvl1 it should be level 13. Fly to the Whispering Pandarian Spirit.

Emerald Proto-Whelp (Emerald Bite, Emerald Presence and Emerald Dream), Infinite Whelpling (Tail Sweep, Healing Flame, Darkflame)

Whispering Pandaren Spirit beings with Dusty

Open with Emerald Proto-Whelp

Turn 1: Emerald Bite

Turn 2: Emerald Presence

Did Moth Dust put Emerald Proto-Whelp to sleep?

Yes. Press Pass, refresh Emerald Presence during Dusty’s Cocoon Round, then use Emerald Bite

No. Continue to next priority

Is Emerald Proto-Whelp at or below 50% Health?

Yes. Use Emerald Dream

No. Continue to next priority

Does Emerald Proto-Whelp have 0 to 1 charges of the Emerald Presence buff?

Yes. Use Emerald Presence

No. Use Emerald Bite

Continue until Dusty is dead

Whispering Pandaren Spirit brings out Whispertail

Is Emerald Proto-Whelp at or below 50% Health?

Turn 5: Tail Sweep

Turn 6: Tail Sweep

Although it is possible to solo this opponent with just the Emerald Proto-Whelp, I choose to use a second pet to cushion against bad RNG

When finished you battle pet is now lvl 19. Head over to Thundering Pandarian Spirit.

Any Hare with a speed of at least 300 (Flurry, Dodge, Burrow), Mechanical Pandarian Dragonling (Breath, Thunderbolt, Decoy)

Turn 10: Breath

Turn 11: Breath

Turn 12: Breath - if Sludgy has less than 200HP, use Thunderbolt for backline damage on Darnak the Tunneler

Sludgy should die here; Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling may die and resurrect before killing Sludgy if a Breath misses

Thundering Pandaren Spirit brings out Darnak the Tunneler

Swap to Hare

Turn 13: Flurry

Turn 14: Dodge

Turn 15: Flurry

Turn 16: Flurry
